Honest answers to common questions

How is this DVSA-compliant?

From 12 May 2026, DVSA require only the learner to confirm a booking. TestGrab never confirms on your behalf — every legal tap is yours. We just speed up the navigation between them. We also record your standing authorisation, which is the legal evidence we'd use if DVSA ever queried it.

When am I charged?

Guided £19.99: only after a successful rebooking is recorded on the DVSA system. If we never find you an earlier slot, you pay nothing. Notify £9.99: charged upfront, one-time, the first time you start the scanner — covers our monitoring service, non-refundable, and is paid even if no test is found. Either way: no subscriptions, no recurring charges.

How long does it take to find a slot?

Varies entirely on cancellation supply at your chosen centres. Some learners get a match within hours; others wait weeks. Widening your date range and choosing 3 centres improves your odds.

Is my data safe?

Your DVSA credentials are encrypted with AES-256 before storage and only decrypted in memory during active scans. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1) and never touch our servers. You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings.

Will my booking get cancelled by DVSA?

Not for using TestGrab. We're explicit with DVSA's "only the learner confirms" rule — every booking has your personal tap. We don't tick "Agree" or "Confirm" on your behalf.

What if I want a refund?

If you were charged but no rebooking is visible on your DVSA account, we auto-refund within 5 business days. For any other refund question, email support@testgrab.co.uk within 14 days.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from Settings. Tap "Delete Account" and your data is gone within 30 days. There's nothing to cancel before a booking happens — there's no subscription.
